With summer almost here, everyone is trying to be healthy lately. I have been experimenting with healthy smoothie recipes for the last few weeks. A friend of mine gave me a recipe she found off pinterest using mangos and fresh spinach.
I altered it by adding skim milk instead of water for a creamier taste. I used frozen peaches instead of mangoes and added strawberries and a banana. I freeze the fresh spinach leaves so they last longer, I also found that they don't make the entire smoothie green this way! I know it seems silly, but my boyfriend and I are not fans of all green drinks. This way we got all the nutrients with only green specs in our smoothies!
Ingredients:
5 ice cubes
1/2 cup skim milk
5 strawberries
cup of frozen peaches
1 banana
2 handfuls of frozen spinach leaves
Blend and enjoy! This recipe makes two large servings. This smoothie is perfect for breakfast or even an afternoon snack.
looks yummy:)
